Bohemian Traders // House Concert with Mike McCarthy
We love a late-summer house concert. There is a captivating joy in experiencing live music in such an intimate setting. We threw down our biggest rugs and comfiest cushions and the gorgeous outdoor courtyard filled up with a joyous little crowd of all ages.
Mike McCarthy, a longtime friend of Bohemian Traders, brought along his seven piece band who swept us into the night. Mike treated us to songs old and new, giving special focus to his latest album ‘Serious Face‘ – a throwback in time to an era of blues, soul, and roots music. It was a night that drifted between slide guitar ‘blues grit’, warm firelight ballads and consummate storytelling.
At Bohemian Traders we know that life can sometimes feel like it’s flying past. The daily grind can feel like a marathon as we tend to an endless ‘To Do’ list. This is why we know that it is all too important to simply stop and catch your breath every now and then, and treat yourself to something special. On this weekend that meant lounging back beneath the stars with good friends and endearing strangers, as we were carried away on the tide of soulful tunes.
You might have noticed that the beautiful sisters singing harmonies in the band, Sophie and Coral, styled in the the coolest yet most effortless Bohemian Traders threads.
Sophie, who is seven months pregnant (!), wore our brand new Maternity Jean in Dark Wash. The essentially cool jean for the mother to be. With stretchy side panels this jean loves your figure whilst comfortably accomodating to your changing shape. Also Available in Black. We were delighted to let Sophie show off a little preview of our yet to be released Billow Sleeve Top – in an all new fabrication. This one is just weeks away from being launched and will be an absolute must this Autumn. We can’t wait!
Coral stunned in the Bon Nuit Shirt in Black on Black, a shirt that is the absolute when it comes to chic comfort. With luxe textured cotton and silk-satin piping this is one of those special garments that you will want to wear everyday around the house as well as the coolest of soirees. You can endlessly match this one with the rest of your wardrobe, try it with black jeans, a generous maxi skirt or, as Coral did this summer’s night, with a cute pair of denim cutoffs.
