BOHEMIAN TRADERS’ FROCKTOBER: A CHIC AFFAIR FOR A CAUSE
Amidst an ambience of camaraderie and compassion, Bohemian Traders recently hosted a local Frocktober event, a poignant occasion dedicated to raising vital funds and awareness for Ovarian Cancer Research.
Spearheaded by the brand’s founder and creative director, Emily Berlach and her exceptional team, the event served as a heartfelt tribute to Liv Curtis, a cherished patron and dear friend bravely navigating life with ovarian cancer. Against the picturesque backdrop of Maew Maew in Terrigal, the gathering unfolded as a celebration of fashion and solidarity, with the gentle sea breeze serving as a gentle reminder of the cause’s significance.
The event was a confluence of support and style, as guests gracefully adorned themselves in an array of frocks, emblematic of their collective pledge to stand in solidarity with those battling the relentless challenges of ovarian cancer. Amongst the heartfelt conversations and merriment, the spotlight fell on Liv as she generously shared her knowledge and experience with guests. When asked how she stayed positive, Liv shared that it was the support of family and friends that held her up during her darkest moments.
At its core, the event sought to shed light on the vital importance of awareness, advocacy, and fundraising for ovarian cancer, a disease that continues to affect countless lives worldwide. As we revelled in the freshest small plates and bubbly prosecco, the evening served as a resounding call to action, urging us all to unite in the fight against this formidable illness and pave the way for a brighter, cancer-free future for women.
